Why adopt a Greyhound?
Greyhounds make wonderful pets. They are for life, not just for racing. They all deserve a second chance. Greyhounds are elegant, very intelligent, tend to be laid back, lazy if given the chance, need little exercise (often just two, half hour walks a day). They thrive on love and affection, adapt quickly to the family way life and make very gentle and loyal pets.
The average age of a greyhound coming in to our care is 2 to 4 years old. However, their normal life expectancy is between 12 and 15 years, making them one of the longest-living of the larger dog breeds. It also means they have many years ahead of them as pets.
